Can I use topical retinal on an area of the skin that is not going to be treated with laser?

I am using retinal on my legs and breast area, and am due to have laser in my stomach area Does it matter since the area Im using retinal on won’t be treated with laser? Therefore don’t need to cease using retinal in that area
