I've seen a couple of girls on a surgery group say they had swelling and pain in their cheeks after lip lift? Is this normal and something I should prepare for?

dear villanelle97, we see swelling around cheek area after liplift surgery very frequently. simply because lymphatic system around the cut area is impaired temporarily as the result of surgery which is very normal. this swelling endures around 7-10 days but this might differ from person to person. during this period we have the covid masks which cover our faces during recovery :) hope the best with your journey
