I had a rhinoplasty almost 4 years ago. Immediately after surgery, I noticed a red, raised, bulge underneath one of my nostrils near my incision, which made my columella droop. I was told by one surgeon that it was cartilage, and told it was scar tissue by another. I had a revision almost 2 years ago where the doctor said he would ‘pin' it up with sutures, which didn't work and made no difference. Is this scar tissue? Is there anything I can do to reduce this without surgery?
