2 years since my rhinoplasty and septoplasty, I cannot smell anything. Should I be worried?

Hi, I underwent Rhinoplasty & Sepoplasty as one operation in August 2020 and there are a lot of issues that I am facing today since post surgery. Firstly since a week after the procedure I have not been able to smell anything and I thought it was covid related but it has been nearly two years now and has had affected my life so much I don’t know why I haven’t been able to smell anything for this long I’m really worried.

Hello. There are different causes of a decreased sense of smell, including surgery, trauma, viral infection, or obstruction from things like nasal polyps, among many other things. It is possible that while the risk is generally small, surgery could have affected your sense of smell. It is best to consult with your doctor who can examine you and determine what the reason may be for this.
