Hello I had a liplift 5 months ago, I had dissolvable stitches which took a while to dissolve and I think this is why my scar looks like this. Is there anything I can do to improve it. Lasers? I’m using scar gel daily and silicone strips at night. I can cover it with makeup but I’m conscious of it when I go swimming or on holiday . What type of laser is the very best ? Thank you

So, before jumping to treatment with any of the numerous here-today-gone-tomorrow "bells and whistles laser and RF treatments, you may wish to explore treatments, such as intralesional anti-inflammatory injections to flatten any elevated portions of the scars and manual microneedling (no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling) accompanied by the application topical pigment enhancers, such as topical tyrosine and latanoprost, for better blending of the scars with the surrounding normal skin. Besides, unfortunately, the marketing hype and social media buzz surrounding the use of fraxel lasers and RF gizmos or this that and everything lags woefully behind the hype. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
