Do my lip fillers look good? Should I get them dissolved and redone?

In the 3/4 view i feel they look duck like and do you think some of the filler has gone above the border on one of the sides? Should i get them dissolved and redone? I have attached before and after photos Thank you.

If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Dear eliza bethany,
I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times.For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years.
In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.

The most important question is if you are happy with the filler treatment.  It can take up to two weeks for the swelling associated with lip fillers to completely resolve for some patients.  Be sure to give yourself this time before deciding if further treatment is needed.

Hi and welcome to our forum!In order to answer this question, we need to know how long ago these injections were performed. For 1 - 2 weeks after injection, swelling will cause the lips to appear big and firm. As it subsides, the result will gradually be revealed.If it has been longer than 2-3 weeks, and your appearance remains unsatisfactory, the filler can be dissolved if desired. Your appearance will otherwise return to normal naturally over a period of 4-6 months.Best wishes...
