Is tear trough filler effective at reducing under eye hollows when used on thin skin?

You absolutely can get great results with tear trough filler if you have thin or translucent skin. The filler should be placed deep, over the bone, so that you do not see a blue effect called the Tyndall effect from reflection of blue light hitting the skin by the filler. Certain fillers are less likely to look blue even when placed superficially.

Consult an advanced injector with years of experience in the under eye area for the best results.

The single best way to have tear trough correction is with the use of your own fat. When fat grafting is done by expert in fat grafting techniques, Plastic Surgeon, the results are natural and practically permanent. My recommendation is to stay away from fillers.
