Why is there still swelling where the incision was made for my orbital plate removal?

Why is there still swelling where my surgery incision was made ? I had my orbital plate removed and this was back on april 30th 2021. Its been 8 months now, why do I still have swelling ? Or is this how my eye is always gonna look now ? I just want my swelling to go down
