It is safe to shave after a laser hair removal. However, for the best and safest treatment, you should shave before a laser hair removal session, not after. If you do need to shave after a treatment, wait until the area is not red, warm, or irritated. As for applying foundation, it is typically preferred to wait until all redness and heat has left the skin. A qualified provider will be able to give you specific recommendations following your treatment.
yes you can if not irritated. I suggest you see an expert for facial laser treatments to decrease the risk of burn. Also ensure you are using vaniqa to get better results from the laser. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Senegal, As long as your skin is not irritated from the treatment, you should be able to shave immediately after the laser hair removal treatment. What laser hair removal practitioners do not want you to do is pluck or wax in between treatments because this takes away our target. Thank you for your question. Yes, you can shave in between your laser hair removal treatments as long as your skin is not irritated from treatment. However, you should not pluck or wax between treatments because this removes the hair follicle the laser targets. Best of Luck!
Mild swelling or redness may occur after Laser hair reduction treatment, but usually resolves in 2-3 days. Shaving should be okay if you have no redness or swelling. Until redness has resolved, it is recommended to avoid applying cosmetics to treated areas. Avene products are excellent for treating post treatment inflammation.
Shaving can be done any time after laser hair removal. I generally tell my patient to not do anything if the skin is irritated or sensitive. If a patient is going back to work after a treatment, she will sometimes puts her makeup back on before leaving the office. I hope this helps! Regards, Dr. DiPasquale
Thanks for your question and I am not aware of any untoward effects of taking collagen supplements and having laser hair removal performed. I would check with your provider but again, this is not something that I would be concerned with.
Thanks for your question, but you will be better off saving your money. Real LHR devices can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, but need the power to be effective. Since no one is home supervising you, home use devices have only a fraction of the power of medical grade lasers. What is...
Thank you for your question. Some medication can cause your skin to be sensitive to light, this includes lasers. If your treating physician was not sure, then she was correct by being cautious and not going forward with the procedure.
