Loose skin after tummy tuck. 8 weeks po. Should I be worried? (Photo)

Thank you for your question.  Judging from your pictures, you have a very nice result from your tummy tuck. It is normal to have some flexibility to the skin. The rock hard result following surgery would be due to some post-operative swelling.  

The skin should not stay rock hard.   That is postoperative swelling.  Your outcome looks beautiful.  The skin is supposed to have some soft subtle feel to it.

From the photos provided it looks like you have good contour - congratulations on your result.  It is not uncommon for anyone, even if they have had a tummy tuck, to have some skin laxity in certain positions.  The skin may also relax a little over time compared to your immediate postoperative appearance.  Nonetheless most people find that it is much tighter and the contour much better than before their operation.

Pg214Congratulations!  You have an excellent result.  I didn't see any pics with you in the bending over position to judge, but even still, that is not the way to judge the outcome your procedure.You need to understand that the surgeon can only tighten skin so much before the tissue will die due to inadequate blood supply.  Perfect is the enemy of good enough!I suspect that your results will improve greatly over the next year or so.  I also suspect that few surgeons would want to do a revision of such a nice result.sek

After looking at your photos, you are healing nicely.  There is no signs of any loose skin.   You still have a lot of healing to take place and the contour will continue to improve.   It is normal to have loose skin when bending or sitting.  It looks as thou you will have a very nice result.  Be patient
