I feel numbness after bikini laser hair removal, is this only temporary?

I made hair removal on the bikini area as well as the underarms 5 days ago and since then the skin feels numb, less sensation is felt specially in the bikini area. I want to know if this is permenant or temporary and if temporary when will it be normal again.. Noting that am 23 years old.

Thank you for your question. Although laser hair removal doesn’t come with many side effects when performed correctly, temporary numbness and tingling is a reasonably common one. For most people, any numbness goes away within several days or a week. I would recommend giving it some more time. Be sure to follow up with your aesthetician if you have concerns.
