Can folliculitis affect eyebrows too and cause loss?

I was diagnosed with folliculitis with micrscope on scalp ..it is not obvious to eyes but doctor said it is folliculitis. I take antibiotic now ..but my eyebrows loss so fast and itchy ..is this because of the bacterial infection ? Thanks

Folliculitis is a common condition in which hair follicles become inflamed due to bacterial infection, or the presence of the hair shaft itself. In other words, either the bacteria or the hair shaft itself triggers attacks by the immune system. It can occur anywhere you have hair follicles, including the eyebrows. Most mild cases of folliculitis clear up on their own. The antibiotics your doctor prescribed should help control the condition, if it is caused by microbes. Permanent hair loss and scarring only occur in severe cases. If the inflammation persists, the cause may be due to the hair shaft and may be resolved with laser hair removal, which you can discuss with your physician. A laser treatment administers highly concentrated light which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The energy of this light then destroys the hair shaft at the base.
