Is Obagi clear the best topical hydroquinone in general?

what other types. or brands are better ? i have never used it outside of it being in a chemical peel (VI peel) so im not sure what to look for, other than it being in a gel base. for absorption especially on combination sun damaged skin.

The Obagi clear has 4% hydroquinone which is prescription strength.  I'm sure there are other products with the same strength and that require a prescription.  The Obagi Clear, however, is formulated to work synergistically with the other products in the Obagi Nuderm program.

By itself, Obagi's Clear is no better than any other hydroquinone. However, when combined with the other ingredients in the Obagi Nu-Derm System, including Blender< it is 2-3 times more effective in correcting pigmentary problems than anything else on the market. There have been studies that have shown this. That is the reason we almost never start clear by itself without the rest of the Nu-Derm System.
