Is it normal that my face turned red after using Obagi Nu Derm with hydroquinone?

Is it normal that my face only turned red and flaked on the first week of using Obagi Nu Derm with Hydroquinone and Obagi Retinol? I am on my second week and I had no more peeling nor redness too. Is it still working?

Yes you can use another brand, but be sure to choose a medical grade sunscreen that provides full spectrum protection. Your skin will be especially sensitive when using Nu Derm so a high quality sunscreen is essential.

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for a long term treatment plan for skin rejuvenation. I find that a combination of lasers or RF, sculptra for collagen building, along with microneedling/prp, salt facials and skin care help with skin rejuvenation. Best, Dr. Emer.
