Or is it preferred to do and complete one crown first, and then come back and do the 2nd crown on a different day. The two teeth (#2, and #3) that need crown are right next to each other .

As long as the existing crown did not break or have recurrent decay there is a possibility that you can keep it. I would take the recommendation of your dentist. Good luck.
