Would a septal button improve the appearance of my nose? (Photos)

I am sorry to hear about your septal perforation. Do you know the reason you developed this? Previous surgery, trauma, substance abuse? If not, you need an evaluation, workup and possible biopsy to for diagnosis. Unfortunately, you already have evidence of a saddle deformity. A septal button will not improve this saddle deformity, but for smaller perforations, may offer you some temporary relief of crusting, whistling and bleeding. Larger perforations are often best left alone and kept clean with irrigations and debridements. Depending on the cause of your perforation and related saddle deformity, surgical options for closure and reconstruction of your nose are available in many cases. Please reach out if you require any additional information. Hi thank you for you question.  To adequately correct a saddle nose deformity, it typically requires cartilage grafting to reconstruct the support that is now lost. This "button" will likely only treat and "obturate" the hole in your septum, but will do little to improve the appearance of the depression. This is a difficult problem to correct, make sure you seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with nasal reconstructions. Good luck!
