3 months post op Liposuction, I've noticed fibrosis developed in the right side of my belly button. Is this normal? (photo)

Complete healing from liposuction sometimes follows a rockier course. With any type of procedure, the body forms scar tissue underneath in all the treated areas. One property of this scar tissue is that between about months two and three it tightens up and can form firm areas. This is the basis for recommendations for massage. There is a time about 3 to 4 months out when scar tissue starts to subside. This can smooth areas out. Unfortunately, with liposuction, it may not perfectly smooth out but usually to an acceptable degree. For more serious contour irregularities, sometimes small revisions can be performed.

I see the contour issues you are alluding to but I'm not certain these are going to be permanent. It would be interesting to know whether or not the liposuction was assisted by a laser or ultrasound as the prognosis would not be so good in the situation.

Thank you for your pictures. I don't know what you look like before but your result is reasonable. Is not unusual have berries of firmness beneath the skin after liposuction. Constant tissue massage by you and time will help this resolved. It may take six or eight months for it to do so. I would recommend any additional treatments at this point.
