now day 5 still no peeling. painted 70% TCS layers back and forth with a brush. stung 20 minutes. was told didn't need to neutralIze as meant to stop anyway after 5. I waited 3 days. is red and wrinkly but no peel and didn't turn white when first put on. was told it should if working. so did another 70% peel day 3. it looks red and wrinkly like tissue paper. no burning pain but a deep ache and throb. I have fair to medium skin. when will it start to peel? does moisturiser slow it from starting?

Answer: Strong Acids, Like TCA 35% Or Above Can Cause Serious Injury & Complications
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors and hyperbaric oxygen to promote healing. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I don't recommend doing a TCA peel yourself. These should be administered by a professional. See a cosmetic dermatologist for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
I would recommend seeing your doc to evaluate the situation but usually a good prescription cortisone cream can prevent any scarring and gets rid of the redness quickly. Redness and swelling at 6 days is not uncommon and does go away nicely in most cases.
