Is it safe to perform Microdermabrasion and LED light therapy on acne prone skin whilst on the antibiotic Doxycycline?

My therapist said that it is fine, but I’m not sure as my skin is really sensitive at the moment.

Hello!  In response to your question, is it safe to have microdermabrasion and LED therapy while taking doxycycline, the answer is yes, it is safe.  If your skin is feeling sensitive, it may be because you are using topical treatments as part of your treatment regimen. Be cautious of microdermabrasion if your skin feels sensitive as that can be pretty irritating.  If your using a trentinoin (or Retin A) at night, you probably don't need microdermabrasion at this time, as you are already getting quite a bit of exfoliation in your daily routine. Yes, it is safe to perform microderm and LED treatment while taking Doxy.  There is no contraindication for these mild therapies.
