Flat mole removal on nose, what's the best option without leaving a noticeable scar? (photos)

Hi, I have a flat benign mole (for sure: no changes in over 2 decades) on the nose tip. I have consulted a dermatologist and he suggests punch excision (4mm). I am concerned it will leave a noticable scar and if it is the best option? I asked him about radiofrequency treatment as it is less abrasive but he says since the mole is flat, laser/radio will depress the skin and create a hole. Is he right? is there no better treatment for a flat mole on nose? What will the scar look like in 3 weeks?
