Most allopathic physicians (MDs) are not trained or familiar with the wide variety of physiologic effects of naturopathic or homeopathic remedies available. It is true that many will have blood thinning and metabolic effects that can complicate your surgical result. However, rather than banning the whole lot, I routinely have my patients taking Arnica and Bromelain for reduced swelling and bruising. Aloe has demonstrated enhanced and accelerated recovery for many of my patients. Best to ask your surgeon and herbalist to communicate about your goals and work together for the optimum result.
As advised by my colleagues, most surgeons will advise you to discontinue all herbal medications approximately 2 weeks prior to surgery. However, each surgeon may have their own unique approach.

I recommend that my patients take a multi vitamin daily, but check the label, as long as it is not more than 400 IU of vitamin E, it is fine. More than that could cause a thinning of the blood. You want to avoid anything that could thin the blood two weeks prior and two weeks after your surgery.
It is very unusual to have a hematoma 2 months after a tummy tuck. Once they are evacuated,. it is generally rare for it to recur.
I recommend my patients to sleep on their backs with a pillow under the knees designed to ensure your hips are in a flexed position. This position minimises the tension on the wound and reduces the risk of any potential wound breakdown. Of course you could potentially sleep on...
I would likely trust the advice of your surgeon. It could be due to a variety of causes such as meralgia paresthetica.
