Porcelain crowns are natural, look like teeth and are the best option to replace your front gold crown with.  There are several types of all ceramic restorations.  The dentist will choose the type based on the color of your teeth and how your teeth fit together.

It is nothing to worry about.  It has always been there you just haven't noticed it.  That is a porcelain fused to metal crown and no reason to take it off.  It is not visible to anyone but you. Good luck.
