I’ve had various fillers over the last 20 years and now have maybe one or two treatments (2-3 mls a year) . I haven’t had my real smile for quite a while and have talked to my clinician about dissolving filler. Interested in dissolving filler feedback and other option la to maintain youthful look. ( this is me smiling as hard as possible)

Answer: Filler fatigue If the fillers are hyaluronic acid you should be able to dissolve most using hyaluronidase. At some point filling becomes counterproductive and surgery is a better option.

Answer: Its all an art. Even to dissolve It would have been helpful to see your smile from 5-10 years ago. If you feel frozen and unable to fully smile, then dissolving is a way to go. It is always best to go to the same provider who injected you to have it dissolved because they would know the depth and amount, etc,If you choose a different provider, then the best route is to make sure they are certified and super knowledgeable in dissolving the filler. Some practices started offering ultrasound guided filler dissolving, so this is something I highly recommend you research about . Be super gradual an make it a few sessions over a few months not to completely melt your face. Good luck. Best. Dr.Anna Avaliani, NYC
