Would belly button surgery 10 years post appendix keyhole surgery help prevent further infections?

i had keyhole surgery to remove my appendix but it's been 10 years since the surgery and about a year or two after the surgery my belly button has had some many infections, smelly, leaky issues for a while and as off 6 months ago it gets painful around the belly button area, and it makes me quite nauseous. my question is what I can do for it or should I just get it removed. I've tried many antibiotics to get rid of infection but nothing seems to be working at all to make it better.
