What will help grow my hair grow back after stitches and will it grow around the wound? (Photos)

It is very early in the wound healing process.  First, over time the scar itself will contract. Second, the surrounding hair that was clipped by the urgent care doc will grow.....1/2 inch a month. Third, give it more time.  If after 6 to 9 months you do not see growth close to the stiches, you can always see a hair transplant surgeon and have a few grafts placed into the scar.

You’ll know in 9 months how much hair will return. I suspect that quite a bit will return. You’ll want to review with your physician whether their could be any benefit from minoxidil. There are pros and cons of using it but it’s worth an in depth discussion. The most important factor here is just time - your scalp already knows how much hair will return.
