Does caffeine (in form of coffee) cause hair loss?

27 year old male struggling to fight hair loss. Taking finasteride, using minoxidil, have a laser helmet too. Had a hair transplant that failed... Anyways does coffee cause hair loss?

No, coffee or caffeine has not been found to cause hair loss. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. No, caffeine should not accelerate or cause hair loss. There's been some studies that suggest caffeine applied topically may even help slow hair loss, but nothing definitive yet.

Speaking as a two-pot-per-day consumer of caffeinated coffee, however, the answer is a definitive "no."  Topical caffeine might actually help hair loss! Keep up the good fight, though!  You are on all of the right therapies for your age range and likelihood of additional hair loss.

No, coffee is not usually a problem. Anyone with a failed transplant needs a proper evaluation and possibly a scalp biopsy.

No, Kathleen nor coffee causes hair loss. In fact many people feel that coffee you will be better for your overall health including heart disease.
