I have a freckle in the middle of my cheek that I’ve always hated and wanted removed but it’s not a mole, so I never knew if it can be removed/if it goes in too deep. When I feel it, it rises up a only a tiny, tiny bit but it is a freckle. Would this be able to be done/would there be scarring? I don’t mind scarring because I hate it anyway and that’d be easier to cover up with foundation than this freckle. I’ve provided a picture below, although i don’t know if it’ll help much.

Matt Erdmann, MBChB, FRCS(Eng), FRCS (Plast) says:
You can apply makeup to an area once the scar has healed and is waterproof. This usually takes 10 days on the face, and 2-3 weeks on the chest/arms/legs.
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Leo Kim, FRACS(Plast), MS(Plast), MBBS(Hons) says:
Should have an overall skin check with a dermatologist and examine the lesion under dermatoloscope, a specialised light that allows closer examination of the lesion. If in doubt, excisions biopsy to determine the pathology and proceed with appropriate treatment thereafter.
