Dear all, I am 29 years old. I have a long face and am not sure how to shorten the appearance of it. I also have an asymmetrical face, especially the hard tissue, with one side being shorter and smaller than the other side. My chin is an insecurity of mine as it tilts to one side, the shorter side. Would fillers help with this? I was considering a ponytail and lip lift, but was told I am too young for this by a plastic surgeon and had no facial sagging or jowls for it. Thank you.
Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Consider your options for enhancing facial symmetry Thank you for your question. Though I can’t comment on your specific situation without photos, there are treatment options that can add volume to the face and create a more symmetrical appearance. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers or fat injections can add volume to shallow contours and provide the necessary lift to balance facial features and the overall face shape. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector or facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns with you and help you decide on the best approach to achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Dermal filler to correct asymmetry and achieve natural looking results Hi, Thanks for your question. Without pictures it is not possible to give you a specific answer because it is important a detailed assessment of the face. In my practice, I treat several patients with asymmetry and lost of volume. Beauty is not the perfect symmetry but go toward the symmetry, balance and proportion among the different areas in our face. My approach involves a very detailed assessment of the face as whole unit analysing the upper, middle and lower face, both side, different views, and using a bespoke treatment with dermal fillers, collagen stimulators and eventually toxin botulinum (if required in specific area of the face) in order to enhance the natural symmetry of the area to be corrected (e.g. cheeks, eye browns, lips, jaw lines, chin ) while maintaining harmony with your whole face and achieve natural looking results. I suggest to make a consultation with an experienced aesthetic doctor for a detailed bespoke assessment in order to consider the best suitable treatment for you. Hope this helps, Best Wishes, Dr Giuseppe Fiore Med Fiore Aesthetic Clinic Hale Altrincham Cheshire

Answer: Treating a long face A good set of photographs or an in person consultation would be your optimal situation. However, for the individuals with a long face, the proportions need to be changed. I find that with the use of fat grafting these proportions can be improved to a great deal by creating cheeks and creating more of an angular mandibular portion of the face. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
