My gap always came back no matter what treatment so my dentist recommended a frenectomy so that my gap would stay closed. I had the frenectomy (2022) but I hate the aligners because they make my teeth and mouth hurt extremely bad. My dentist is recommending I do the aligners, shave my front teeth the same length as the others and attach a bonded retainer to the back. Could dental bonding be an alternative to all of that instead? Close my gap slightly and add length to the lateral incisors?
