Abscess after dental implant? 2 weeks post-op. (photo)

have an abcess at the site of an implant that was placed 2 weeks ago. i took antibiotics after the procedure but now have this. it bursts but then returns. do i need another antibiotic? I've left a message for my oral surgeon.

It is not normal to have pain a year after extraction and bone graft You could see your dentist.  The pain might be coming from  teeth adjacent to the site which could be diagnosed by exam and xray Your dentist will refer you back to the otal surgeon if needed

All These could be indicative of infection. You need to see your surgeon to rule out infection Usually most of swelling and discomfort after bone graft surgery should resolve after 3-5 days.  You should have improvement in your symptoms.  If things are not improving compared to days foll...
