I got a hair transplantation exactly 10 days back. After 4th day, I see good growth in almost 70% of the follicles. As you can see in attached pic, almost all the hair grafts are growing in length, which makes me happy :) .. is this generally the case. I know that planted grafts shed - so before shedding is it normal to see them grow. But i wish they keep growing like this. Is it possible that the grafts when they were planted were in anagen pahase (growth) and they are continuing that?

Answer: It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery. It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.
It is highly unlikely that you lost grafts from hitting your head, unless you saw the follicle actually fall out. If ever in doubt, you should see your surgeon for an in person visit. Also watch the video to learn what can compromise results.
You do not need to take Propecia. It is not a mandatory drug. You do not need to take it after a hair transplant surgery. It may be recommended but the choice is yours.
