Tca cross redness still there after 8 months Got tca cross done by doctor for acne scars. Scars have improved a lot but its very red even after 8 months an the healing is like forming a ring like healing. Meaning if it was a circle scar, the center has lifted but edges are still down. What to do? Please help

I have been routinely performing TCA CROSS for well over two decades with gratifying results for treating ice pick scars and dilated pores in persons of all skin types. Because the TCA is placed down the shafts of these narrow scars and pores, there is typically little disturbance to the surface skin around the treated area. In my experience, problems arise when TCA CROSS is used on wider scars, such as boxcar or rolling scars. In these cases a wider surface area is treated and hence the risk for persistent visible redness, as well as other skin color issues (hyper- or hypopigmentation), is considerably greater, particularly in individuals of skin of color, and they can present a real issue--which is what i believe is going on here. You would be wise to discuss this issue with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist.
