Hello doctors. I have indian skin on the fair side. I accidentally applied 60% tca instead of my usual 15%(i got to know this later only on my scarring area which are my cheeks. After 15secs it frosted and i washed it off after a minute. Later after frosting subsided , the area where the frosting had occured change to this dark purple brown color. I understand i have made a huge mistake. Im on day two right now. The skin feels a little tighter.What should i expect.cant afford derm visit rn.

You may or may not scar from this. However, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation would not be surprising. Active management of the wound will be important to reduce the risk of secondary infection and to attempt to control the expected hyperpigmentation. Even 15% TCA is not a product that should be in the hands of the general public. It is not safe to use these products and you have discovered the hard way. I hope things turn out the best for you.
