A hole in the dental crown is not good, need to see your dentist. However from the picture it looks like you have a porcelain fused to metal crown, in which the metal is exposed, you need to check with your dentist! If the metal is exposed you will be ok, however aesthetically is not pleasing. Check with your dentist or a dentist near you.
It is hard to tell from this photo, but it may be a porcelain fused to metal crown (PFM). sometimes, the porcelain on the chewing area gets thin or chipped, exposing the metal frame. This isn't a hole and presents no clinical problems. The only issue would be the "look" of the crown, but it should function just fine and have zero risk for decay/cavities in that spot.
