Hello and thank you for your question.PFM crown certainly can be replaced with a gold crown. I am just curious why would you want to replace it with gold as now a-days there so many latest technology porcelains, which mimic the straight, durability and wear of gold. Because of that, last time I placed gold crown was many years. ago.All the best to you.
Hi:Any crown can be replaced with another crown including a gold crown. Just keep in mind that a gold crown can conduct hot and cold faster to the nerve of the tooth.Best.Dr. Maddahi
Hello and thank you for your great question. Gold crown certainly can and should be adjusted in the mouth, if it is bothering you. It is fairly simple to do and should be done asap as situation with a high bite can lead negative consequences like discomfort and pain. All the best to you!
Hi: Unfortunately with an X-ray and a photo it is difficult to give you accurate advice. Generally if the decay is not too far down the root, with a root canal, post and a crown the tooth can be salvaged.Best,Dr. Maddahi
HI:There is always a chance of nerve damage when you are redoing crowns, specially if it has been done recently. Overall, getting work done overseas and not having a chance to get proper bite adjustment or handle sensitivity is a gamble.Best,Dr. Maddahi
