my cosmetic dentist suggested I get the whitest shade for my top smile. However I could only afford the top 8 teeth (the amount of teeth exposed by my natural smile). He told me I could bleach my teeth to help match the veneers. Will they ever be able To be as white as my veneers realistically ? Or will I have to do my bottoms as well? initially didn't want them too white because I knew they wouldn't match however my doctor recommended I do the whitest shade because veneers can't be whitened.

I would try a desensitizing tooth paste like sensydyne. If that doesn't work, get a prescription from your dentist for prevident 5000 and try using that in your bleaching trays for a couple hours 2-3 days.
If Peridex (chlorhexidine) mouthwash was recommending after scaling for bleeding, it can stain your teeth. However, this can be easily polished off by a dental professional.
