Thank you for your question. This region in called the pre jowl sulcus. Fillers are great for this region, but fat transfer works as well, although with a little less control. Sculptra is also great for generalized volume, but it may not work as well for spot treatment in this region. Any of the three could be used, and each carries pros and cons to discuss with your surgeon. All the best!-Dr. P
Yes might recommend Sculptra first. Then if no doing the results try nano fat grafting. Best to virtual consult with...Expect fees in the $5,000 ranges.
HA fillers I’ll probably the easiest to work with but if you don’t like those then how about using Radiesse. It’s a long lasting filler that’s not HA based.I don’t think you’ll like the outcome using fat transfer. Fat transfer is sometimes good for giving diffuse overall volume but is not good and giving precise volume in small spaces. For this type of area fillers are much better. I don’t work with Sculptra but I think fillers would be one notch better than the sculpture. Anytime you consider fat transfer you have to consider what’s the plan if you don’t like the outcome.Removing previously grafted fat in the face can be challenging to say the least.Fat drafting compared to fillers is empreasize, unpredictable and unforgiving. There are many different fillers on the product and not all of them are based on hyaluronic acidBest,Mats Hagstrom MD
