Can using a Derma Roller increase volume loss under the eyes? (Photo)

Thanks for your question and posting pictures.  We never recommend dermarollers because it causes unnecessary dermal trauma.  Microneedling is better because the needles travel perpendicularly to the skin surface.  If you think about the rollers, they go in at an angle, straighten up and come out in the opposite direction.  You end up with long slits instead of tiny pinpoints.  It is illegal to sell medical devices to the public.  These home use devices are dumbed down to not be medical grade (or effective).After a complete medical screening, we would probably recommend a series of an energy device.  Bulk heating works well to stimulate collagen production.  We use a radio frequency device called Pelleve for skin tightening.  It is a very pleasant treatment that feels like a warm rock massage.  It does take 90 to 120 days to notice a difference in collagen production.  Another option would be a series of Fractional 1540nm laser resurfacing.  Best of luck
