6 weeks after first Sculptra treatment, and my face has been distorted. What can I do? (Photo)

It's been 6 weeks after my first Sculptra, my face has been distorted thoroughly. I'm afraid it's not an after-injection swelling, but a "result". I hate what I look like right now and I swear I would not try sculptra any more! Though I was injected voluma to re-shape my distorted face 2 weeks ago, my face still couldn't return to my natural shape. How can I do to minimize the disaster? I even don't want to go outside because of this!

I agree with the consultation that you have described.  Sculptra is excellent for the lower face.  I would consider Belotero or Restylane for the delicate under eye area.  Please make sure you consult an expert for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

Having your second Sculptra treatment performed 2 weeks after the first would not raise any safety issues. However it is not an optimal interval between treatments.  It is best to wait at least 4-6 weeks to allow the Sculptra particles to stimulate your collagen renewal.  You would...

At three weeks, you may still have a case of prolonged swelling after sculptra.  I wouldn't consider those results your permanent results.  Although removing the sculptra is not possible, check with your provider if to see if you are still swollen, and hopefully some of that will...

I would consider consulting an allergist to ascertain if you are allergic to lidocaine or not.  Sculptra can be injected without lidocaine.  The lidocaine is simply added to numb the area and make the injections more comfortable.  Best, Dr. Green
