Skin still hanging almost 1 year post thigh lift - Do I need a thigh lift revision? (Photos)

Question

After losing 220 pounds on October 22, 2024, I had an extended inner thigh lift performed. The incision was to come down to my knee, but for whatever reason when I woke up, it only came to my mid thigh. I just don’t understand where things went wrong. For my next surgery, what should I have done to give me the results I’m looking for andI deserve. I just don’t understand how this surgeon could be proud of this work. Anybody with us can clearly see there is still a chunk of black sagging skin hanging in between my thighs. What was the reason? I just don’t understand. All I can do is just look in the mirror with so much disappointment.

Thigh lift can be a tough surgery because the skin is very thin, and prone to opening up after surgery if pulled too tight.

That said, you have enough excess skin to justify removal of that area behind the scar.

You'll want to be sure your weight is stable and that you dedicate ba solid 2 weeks for downtime and recovery to help ensure the best results.

Hi from Istanbul!Thank you for your question.Inner thigh lifting surgery is indicated for whom has sagging skin with poor quality of skin especially after loosing too much weight. Poor skin elasticity is the main reason to have that kind of result, anyway you may get a better result with a revision or correction surgery.Best luck!
