I don't think that injectable fillers migrate from the pink of the lip up into the white of the lip. I think this happens if too much product is injected in a short amount of time. If the filler you used was hyaluronic acid based, for example Juvederm or Restylane, than it can be dissolved in our office. We inject the area with an enzyme called, hyaluronidase. The area may be swollen at first but results work fairly quickly. The time frame to complete dissolve all the filler could take make than one injection and more than one appointment. Once the filler is dissolved we can discuss further treatment goals. If the lip filler used was silicone based, this would require a surgical incision to physically remove the filler.

Lip filler migration can occur when the filler moves from the original injection site to another area, which might cause uneven or swollen appearances in and around the lips.

Here are some signs that might suggest filler migration:
