Veneers: I am considering for the 4th time redoing my veneers but am worried if I am putting myself at risk, advice? (photo)

Good question! Obviously the more you do to your teeth the more risk for sensitivity and root canals. However, if a dentist is careful and removes just the veneer and cement without prepping the tooth the risk is usually minimal. The upper front teeth tend to have more tooth structure to work with too, unlike the small lower front teeth. Would need xrays to tell for sure and a good history--such as, have you been symptomatic, have you been having sensitivity at all on those teeth? Get a consultation to discuss, good luck!

You have a valid concern as anytime any sort of dentistry is performed there is a chance of nerve irritation which can potentially cause the need for root canals. However if the clinician uses care and experience the chances of this occurring can be reduced considerably!  All the best.
