I am 3 months post op and bigger after liposuction.

Is it common to blow up after liposuction? Although I still have a small roll on my belly, my mons pubis is only slightly smaller. My entire abdomen looks swollen. Is this normal at 3 months? My abdomen is a bit lumpy on one side.

The most important aspect regarding liposuction is the surgeon using the liposuction machine. Don't be fooled by sexy sounding lipo machines because studies show that results are no better than traditional liposuction machines. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for your questions. The amount of time spent in the operating room is dependent upon how much fat needs to be removed. Essentially, the more fat that is planned to be removed, the longer it will take. This is not an exact science. What you really want is the best outcome....

I recommend seeing a cosmetic dermatologist for wound care. I suggest silicone gel with growth factors and starting hyperbaric oxygen. This is going to lead to permanent scarring. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
