The only thing I do not like about my nose is the droopy tip. I want to get a rhinoplasty really bad, but I will be just turning 18 and will need my parents to fund it. Would it cost less just because the only thing I want fixed is that droopy tip? I don't have a hump or bump or anything else on my nose, the tip just droops down especially when I smile.
Answer: The Price of a Rhinoplasty Rhinoplasty prices vary greatly because the rhinoplasty procedure itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. Therefore the cost range is pretty wide from $6000-$12,000. My recommendation is to first find qualified surgeons that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Otolaryngology. Find one or two surgeons you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that influence the price include: 1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office? 2. Type of Anesthesia - IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an RN? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, but also consider American Board of Otolaryngology trained surgeons 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - Tip Rhinoplasty only or complete rhinoplasty, open or closed technique, deviated septum repair,or breathing problems corrected, , how long, ?etc

Answer: Cost for rhinoplasty to fix a droopy tip? An exam would be necessary to determine what would give you the best result. A tip-plasty may be performed, but it may not always be possible to change only a drooping tip. During a consultation, computer imaging software may be used. This software accomplishes the following:1) It gives you an idea of how the final result of surgery may appear2) It serves as a fantastic communication tool between you and your prospective surgeonFrom here, I would recommend an in-person consultation with a board certified rhinoplasty specialist. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

Answer: Tip-plasty versus full Rinoplasty Without pictures it impossible to give an opinion as to whether or not a tip-plasty versus a full rhinoplasty is required. The majority of patients need a full rhinoplasty to make sure all the nasal cartilages,( upper lateral and lower lateral cartilages) and nasal bones are all within balance of each other. To prevent the tip from drooping when smiling, releasing the depressor septi ligament will prevent this. Is also an important make sure the nose balances with your facial features.
