Flattened butt after tummy tuck?

Question

I am almost 2 weeks po with tummy tuck and hernia repair. Is it normal that my butt seems to now be completely flat? Will it go back to normal once I can stand upright? Was not expecting anything like this and feel like I look worse than before.

The likely reason why it may appear flat is that you are swollen around your waist. Unless of course you had work on your buttocks.

There should be little to no change in the butt area after only doing a procedure on the anterior side.  Discuss this with your surgeon at the next visit.  You may want to proceed with fat transfer to the buttocks to assist you with this.

You need to be standing upright much sooner than 2 weeks. Otherwise, you will e lower back problems. Yes than can make your buttocks look flatter.
