For ENT specialists. I am looking into hair transplants. However, I have inner ear issues (tinnitus/ear ringing, hyperacusis/sound sensitivity). During hair transplants, lidocaine is frequently injected into the scalp. Lidocaine is listed as an ototoxic drug and tinnitus a possible side effect. Given that I already have inner ear issues, does that mean I’m unable to withstand lidocaine injections? Will it make my ears worse? Or will it only do that if lidocaine levels reach “toxicity?”
