Hello doctors, I'm scheduled for BR Surgery in 2 weeks, I've been working out a lot and I know after my surgery I will not be able to do as much exercising as I was but I don't wanna be a bump on a log and just lay around and gain all my weight back. So my question is can I do lower body exercises like squats or crunches maybe power walking?

Answer: Exercise after breast reduction The best person to ask about exercise restrictions after surgery is your surgeon. Most likely you will be able to at least do some walking after surgery. I advise my patients to avoid intense activity such as running or weight lifting for at least 4 weeks after surgery, but light exercise is usually fine. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Exercise after Breast Reduction That is a great question. The answer depends on the size of your reduction, the technique involved, the nature of your tissues and, most importantly, your surgeon's recommendations. He/she is in the best position to advise. I ask many of my patients to avoid any impact exercises that might involve bouncing for several weeks. When they do return, they need really strong support for the reductions. Your surgeon probably has very specific instructions regarding this. Enjoy your results, you should feel much better after surgery
