In the past two years, I have lost a considerable amount of volume in my face. The left picture is me before losing 10 pounds and the picture on the right is after I gained the 10 pounds back. Unfortunately, I have not gotten my facial fat back even after gaining back all the weight.... Maybe due to having turned 30 this year? I am considering having fillers to restore the volume I have lost. Which filler would you suggest? Also, how many syringes do you think are needed? Thank you!
Answer: Approach to Facial Fillers The face will lose volume overtime. The loss of volume will cause: 1)Loss of height and definition in cheeks 2)Narrowing of the upper 1/3 of face 3)Decent of facial tissue 4)Irregularities of jawline 5)Thinning of lips 6)Change the overall balance of the face from and upside down egg to an oval shape The addition of volume is best used to restore the balance, height and definition to the face. This is the true art of facial fillers. In your situation, it is most important to choose a qualified injector. The pictures you posted are not helpful as I cannot make specific recommendation on such limited information. I hope this helps.

Answer: Midface Volume Replacement with Voluma or Perlane Weight fluctuation and aging can both cause volume loss on the cheeks or midface. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Dermal fillers such as Voluma or Restylane Lyft are great options for volume replacement. It is recommended that you see a Board Certified Injector for a consultation to get a better idea of how many syringes you will need.

Answer: Voluma Weight loss does cause facial volume loss (as does aging, however, turning 30 is still on the young spectrum in regards to facial volume loss). I would recommend Juvederm Voluma, the first filler FDA-approved for mid-face volume loss. This would be injected right along the top of the zygomatic arch (facial cheek bone) to lift the skin and add volume in the mid-face where you have lost it. Other Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers are too thin to add volume and are preferred for lines and intra-dermal injections. I would recommend 2 syringes of voluma to start for your face specifically.

Answer: What kind of filler and how much needed to restore volume in face? Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years. Non smiling photos of the face front and side would help in the evaluation. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine and attractive when they have heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round anteriroly (in the front). Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or using cheek implants for a permanenet enhancement will create cheeks that are full and round in the front to feminize the entire face. Hope this helps.
