Can I apply Vaseline to eyes and eyelashes after using Latisse?

I use differin gel for acne. I apply Vaseline to sensitive areas like eyes, corners of nose, and around the mouth to ensure no extra irritation happens incase the gel comes in contact with those areas. Before I apply those products I put Latisse on first and wait 15 to 30 minutes for it to absorb. Then, I go in with Vaseline and continue as before, but my concern is does Vaseline prevent some absorption of Latisse after its already been applied?

Bimatoprost works by prolonging the growth phase of the hairs. It typically takes 6 weeks to see a difference. If you are having patchy loss of hairs, you may have a condition called alopecia areata. Make an appointment with your dermatologist to determine if this is your case.

Most anyone would tell you that products like this, applied in this small of an amount, to this specific area, would not affect pregnancy or breastfeeding. But you also have to realize that no true testing has been done and never will be done on this because no one is going to want to do it. So,...

Dear Hazel Eyes,You are safe to use it no mater what color the eyes.Apply the lattise with a little brush (which they provide) just above your upper lid lashes.Takes 2 seconds to apply, nightly. Takes about 2mo to start seeing thicker and longer lashes.Best. Dr Brecht

Thanks for your question.  I have not personally seen this phenomenon from Latisse, but I suppose anything is possible.  It might be best to consult an ophthalmologist with a number of years of experience and see if they think this is a common problem.  Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. I would not worry about missing 8-9 doses of Latisse especially if your lashes are at a length that you like. If you continue to miss doses, they will return to their "before" length but that will take many more missed doses. I hope this answered your question:)

Latisse helps eyelashes grow longer, thicker and it takes about 6 weeks to notice a good improvement. The lashes, however, have a finite length which is different for each person. They will maintain that length if the patient stays on the medication.
