Can you please recommend what procedures would help balance my side profile and make me look less tired. I am unable to breath properly through my nose so often have to mouth breath. I would like my face to look more balanced and to improve my side profile please

Many thanks for your question. As you have noted in your title, the elements of our face should harmonize which each other rather than stand on their own. From your picture, your chin does look a little setback which increases the perception relating to the size of your nose which is also accentuated by your profile suggesting a prominence. Each can be addressed on their own merits but I suspect the nose would take precedence in your scenario as you have concurrent airway issues. However, at the same sitting the chin can also be considered through a relatively straightforward implant. There are a variety of ways this can be demonstrated visually usually through electronic means before an operation is undertaken to give you an idea of potential changes which should help guide you further with your decision.

Thanks for your question and for sharing your photos. To be honest, you are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty and a chin implant. To optimize your breathing, I would inspect your septum for a deviation, assess your nasal valves for any collapse or stenosis and also assess your inferior turbinates to see if they're negatively impacting your breathing. You have a moderate dorsal hump to your nose which can be addressed during the time of surgery. The tip of your nose is nice to begin with, but a few subtle changes would really elevate it in terms of refinement. As far as looking tired, my patients state they are sleeping better and breathing better during the day (at work and while exercising), and these changes result in them looking more refreshed and less tired.
A chin implant would improve the projection of your chin. The combination of a rhinoplasty and a chin implant really harmonizes and balances the face. It will also improve your facial proportions.

Rhinoplasty or chin implant, or both? You do appear in profile to have a very weak chin. There is also a dorsal hump which makes the chin look even smaller. The small chin also makes the nose look larger. If you could only do one of the two procedures I believe that the chin detracts more from your profile than the nose. In other words if you did a chin implant I don’t think your nose would look that large, but if you did a rhinoplasty, your chin would still look too small. The best aesthetic change would come from doing both the rhinoplasty and chin implant in terms of the standard aesthetics. If you have difficulty breathing through the nose and are assessed as having a deviated septum, a septoplasty could be performed along with the rhinoplasty .
